Competition Participation Details
Registration Process
For the age group between 6 and 12 years (age as of October 2025).
Registration Fees for the Competition:
- For Egyptians: 200 EGP, paid upon registration for the first stage.
- For non-Egyptians: 5000 EGP, paid only if the participant qualifies for the final stage.

- Preliminary Screening Stage:
- In this stage, the contestant submits a video with good sound and picture quality. The contestant must present one of the works of Umm Kulthum (the Star of the East) and an additional song of their own choice. The maximum duration for the performance is 3 minutes.
- After preparing the video, it should be sent through the registration page (next page). The video can be uploaded to any file-sharing service (e.g., WeTransfer, sendanywhere.com, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.) and the link should be copied into the registration page. Alternatively, the video can be uploaded to YouTube, and the link can be copied.
- (Important) If the contestant has not completed the payment, they can return to their registration details to modify or add information by entering their registered BasicInfo.
- The competition’s judging panel will evaluate the contestants’ performances and select those who qualify for the final stage. The submitted video will complete the preliminary screening stage.
- The Official Competition:
- The final screening (competition) will take place at Cairo Opera House during the festival days, from October 16 to 25, 2025. Only the contestants who qualify from the first stage will be notified to participate in the competition before the festival begins.
- In the final stage, the contestant will present a different musical piece from Umm Kulthum, along with a song of their personal choice.
Important Notes:
- Those who have won any places in the last three years of the competition are not eligible to participate.
- Cairo Opera House will provide full accommodation and internal transportation for foreign contestants (those not residing in Egypt) during the competition.
- Cairo Opera House reserves the right to amend the terms and details of the competition as needed without prior notice.
