Each floor was provided with a special camera for surveillance in order to preserve the artworks, and the security personnel regularly and periodically supervised them. It is worth noting that the artistic activity that is held in this hall is completed by making recording tapes as a documentation process for the most important exhibitions that are held in it. Since the opening of the Opera House in 1988, dozens of important exhibitions have been held in the hall, including the annual exhibition of the International Photo Contest, which is held by the Netherlands, as well as exhibitions of the great pioneers of the plastic movement in Egypt in all kinds of arts and for all artistic schools such as influence, surrealism, realism, symbolism and cubism and other schools to keep pace with The plastic movement in the world, and to transfer what is presented from the arts in the West to Egypt to introduce other arts in various parts of the world. The Fine Arts Hall permanently hosts an exhibition of Arabic calligraphy annually. The Opera Hall also participates in biennials, international triennials, festivals and international cultural weeks, as well as various events such as the year of Egypt/Italy and International Women’s Day. A new hall affiliated to the Fine Arts Hall was opened, which is the Musical Library Hall. It consists of two floors and is characterized by its circular shape and its exhibition space that accommodates more than 70 artworks. It allows the library visitor to view the exhibitions, in addition to this, it allows the visitors of the exhibition to learn about the library's books and tapes for all the opera's activities. A strong program has been prepared for it that includes exhibitions of distinguished young artists, and this was in implementation of one of the new ideas adopted by the Opera House, which is to give an opportunity to artistically talented youth in various fields of art.
