Abdel Wahab, Al-Sunbati, & Baligh at the Arab Music Institute

Under the supervision of Dr. Khaled, Chairman of the Cairo Opera House, works by the great music composers Mohamed Abdel Wahab, Riad Al-Sunbati and Baligh Hamdy are going to be presented by the Heritage Arab Music Ensemble. Conducted by Maestro Mohamed El-Mogy, the event will take place at the Arab Music Institute on Thursday, 16 November 2023 at 8 p.m.

The program includes a selection of famous songs performed by Atef Abdel Hamid, Mohamed Shawky, Ahmed Mohsen, Yasser Suleiman, Angham Moustafa, Radwa Saeed, Nahla Hafiz and Asmaa Kamal.

The Heritage Arab Music Ensemble was founded to revive the Arab music heritage, a purely Egyptian legacy that was produced by a number of great musicians through successive generations. Members of the Heritage Arab Music Ensemble are selected from the most skilled musicians and distinguished voices of heritage keepers. Notably, the Ensemble performed its first concert at the Arab Music Institute in 2004.
