Within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's plans to preserve the classic Arab music heritage, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts a concert by the Heritage Arab Music Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Farouk El Bably, at the Arab Music Institute on Sunday, 12 January 2025, at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of masterpieces of Arab Tarab composed by prominent composers. Songs are featured by Ahmed El Waziri, Ahmed Sabry, Mohamed Shawky, Radwa Saeed, Asmaa Kamal, Mohie Salah, Nadine El Amrousi, and Ahmed Serour.
The Heritage Arab Music Ensemble was founded to revive the Arab music heritage, a purely Egyptian legacy that was produced by a number of great musicians through successive generations. Members of the Heritage Arab Music Ensemble are selected from the most skilled musicians and distinguished voices of heritage keepers. Notably, the Ensemble performed its first concert at the Arab Music Institute in 2004.
