“Al Nadaha” Performance by Forsan El Sharq Heritage Company at Gomhouria Theatre

To encourage the revival of the Egyptian rural myths, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, presents “Al Nadaha” performance by Forsan El Sharq Heritage Company at the Gomhouria Theatre on 21, 22, & 23 January 2025 at 8 p.m. With Karima Bedair as its executive director, the performance is directed and choreographed by Ragwa Hamed, music by Mohamed Khalid, lighting design by Reda Ibrahim, set and costumes design by Anis Ismail.
“Al Nadaha” tackles the questions posed by the human mind during the process of acquiring knowledge. The leading roles are played by Yasmine Samir Badawi (Al Nadaha), Ibrahim Khaled (The Mind), Mohamed Helal (The Brother), Bassem Magdy (The Heart), and Amgad Abdel Aziz (The Enchanted).
Forsan El Sharq Heritage Company was established in 2009 by the Egyptian Ministry of Culture to rediscover and embody Egyptian and Arab heritage through the art of modern dance. Performances creatively reinterpret this rich legacy through innovative choreographies set in a historical and dramatic context.
In 2010, the Company was affiliated to the Cairo Opera House and made its debut with “The Greatest Street” performance. Since then, performances of the Company have garnered favorable acclaim and success among the Egyptian audience. Currently, Essam Ezzat is artistic direction of Forsan El Sharq Heritage Company.
