Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra Celebrates Children’s Day at Sayed Darwish Theatre

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, celebrates Children’s Day with a concert titled “The Four Seasons” by the Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Ahmed Farag, at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre” on Wednesday, 20 November 2024 at 11 a.m.
The concert features Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” performed by four young violinists showcasing their skill and talent: Hala Hassan (Summer), Farida Aboul Hassan (Spring), Youssef Ahmed (Autumn), and Sama Abdullah (Winter).
The Four Seasons is a collection of four concertos composed by Antonio Vivaldi. Each concerto symbolizes a season of the year. Vivaldi composed the music in 1723 and published it in 1725 as part of his Opus 8, titled “The Contest Between Harmony and Invention”.
The Alexandria Opera House String Orchestra was officially founded by Dr. Nevine El Mahmoudy and gave many successful concerts throughout Egypt. Noteworthy, the Orchestra participated in several national and international festivals which were held within the framework of the cultural cooperation between Egypt and countries all over the world.
