Cairo Café at the Cairo Opera House

Cairo Café, led by pianist and music arranger Ali Sharaf, presents a concert at the Small Hall of the Cairo Opera House on Friday, 1 December 2023 at 8 p.m.
The concert program features a selection of famous old and contemporary oriental and western compositions reformulated by Ali Sharaf and presented in a new artistic perspective.
Ali Sharaf is a composer, music arranger, and pianist. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science in 1985 and from the Academy of Arts in 1986, and then obtained a postgraduate diploma in music sciences. He began his professional career as a music arranger collaborating with renowned singing stars like Madhat Saleh, Mohamed Fouad, and Ali El-Haggar.
Ali Sharaf wrote a number of themes and scores for successful TV series and shows, as well as soundtracks for the well-known Nelly Fawazir show that aired during the holy month of Ramadan in the 90’s.
He founded “Cairo Café” band to revive the oriental and western musical heritage through a new formulation preserving the spirit of the original song yet, simultaneously, adding a touch of modernity to it.
