Cairo Opera House Celebrates 180th Anniversary of Dominican Independence Day

Within the plan of the Ministry of Culture to build bridges of communication with countries across the world, the Cairo Opera House in collaboration with the Dominican Embassy in Cairo and the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector holds a concert on the occasion of the 180th anniversary of the independence of the Dominican Republic at Gomhouria Theatre on Sunday, 25 February 2024 at 8 p.m.

The concert features the distinguished soprano Nathalie Peña and pianist Hugo Llanos presenting a wide selection of the most famous classical works.
The Dominican Republic is located on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean Sea. It gained its independence in 1821 after a three-century war and was fully liberated in 1844.
