Cairo Opera House Celebrates Mother’s Day in Damanhour and Alexandria

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, begins Mother’s Day celebrations with a concert presented by the students of the Alexandria Talents Development Center.
The Children’s Choir Class, trained by Dr. Mohamed Hosni, along with the Ballet Class, trained by Ibrahim Khalid, present a concert at Damanhour Opera House on Friday, 8 March 2024 at 7 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a variety of famous music works that celebrate family, along with several compositions for children.
On the other hand, the Ballet Class, directed and trained by Dr. Amir Tadros, performs “The Nutcracker” Ballet at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre on Saturday, 9 March 2024 at 7 p.m.
“The Nutcracker” is a fairy tale ballet performed during the Christmas season by ballet companies all over the world. The storyline revolves around the dreams of the beautiful young girl Clara on Christmas Eve after she receives a Nutcracker doll from her family friend, the toymaker Drosselmeyer. Impressed by the doll, which is accidentally broken by her brother Fritz, Clara becomes sad, falls asleep, and dreams of the toy returning to its original state. It transforms into a handsome prince, leading to a series of dreamy tales between Clara, her prince, and the Christmas toys.
The Talents Development Center was established to enhance artistic taste and nurture talented individuals across various art domains. It encompasses multiple departments and regularly organizes events to encourage and acknowledge the efforts of students in their respective courses.
