Cairo Opera House Celebrates World Day for Cultural Diversity*

On the occasion of the World Day for Cultural Diversity, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is organizing a cultural panel at the Arab Music Institute on Tuesday, 21 May 2024 at 7 p.m.
Moderated by journalist Hassan El Shazly, the panel hosts Dr. Nahla Imam, Advisor to the Ministry of Culture for Intangible Heritage; Masoud Shoman, former Head of the Central Department of Cultural Affairs at the General Authority for Cultural Palaces; Dr. Mohamed Shabana, Professor of Folk Music at the Higher Institute of Folk Arts; and theater critic Gerges Shoukry.
UNESCO celebrates the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development on the twenty first of May each year to highlight the richness of the world's cultures and to emphasize the essential role of intercultural dialogue in achieving peace and sustainable development.
