Cairo Opera House Commemorates the Death Anniversary of Um Kulthum

Under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, the Cairo Opera House continues its tradition of celebrating icons of music and singing in the Arab world. In this regard, Abdel Halim Nowera Ensemble for Arab Music presents a concert commemorating the death anniversary of Um Kulthum under the baton of Maestro Ahmed Amer at the Main Hall on Tuesday, 27 February 2024 at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program includes selections of Um Kulthum’s iconic songs presented by Rehab Omar, Hanan Al Kholy, Sabreen El Negely and Asmaa Kamal.
Throughout the month of February, the Cairo Opera House hosts an array of events commemorating the death anniversary of Um Kulthum with the aim of preserving the Arab musical heritage and introducing masterpieces of the legendary Egyptian singer to younger generations.
