Cairo Steps Celebrates Christmas with Three Concerts at Cairo Opera House

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is kicking off the Christmas and New Year celebrations with three concerts by the Egyptian-German group Cairo Steps, led by its founder Bassem Darwisch. The concerts take place at the Main Hall on 19 & 20 December 2024 and at Alexandria Opera House on Saturday, 21 December 2024 at 8 p.m.
During its exceptional performances, Cairo Steps is joined by the religious Chanter Ehab Younis and the artist Hany Adel (Cairo concerts only) featuring a selection of their original works that blend African-rooted jazz with Sufi musical forms including Alif, Amber, Siwa, Memories, Café Groppi, Shams, Samu, Ole' Cairo, Sanctum, Dance du Nil, Yamaleka Qadri, InFerag, Saidi Wedding, Khaliji Steps.
Cairo Steps is among the prominent musical groups in the Arab world and around the globe. It was founded in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in 2002, and since then, it continues to captivate attention and enchant hearts with its outstanding and unique performances.

Through diverse melodies and rhythms, the band takes us on a journey full of emotions and sensations to lands that are foreign and beyond reality.
