Cairo Steps merges and combines traditional Egyptian and oriental rhythms with modern Jazz improvisation, classical music

 The Cairo Opera House, headed by Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, in cooperation with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Cairo, is organizing two concerts by the Egyptian-German ensemble Cairo Steps, led by its founder, composer Bassem Darwish.

The concerts will take place at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, December 18 and 19, 2025, at the Main Hall.

The program features a selection of the ensemble’s original compositions, blending traditional Egyptian and oriental rhythms with modern Jazz improvisation, classical music and contemporary sounds
