Cairo Symphony Orchestra Continues “Musica Vocalis” Concert Series at Cairo Opera House

Under the baton of Maestro Nader Abbassi, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts the fifth concert of the “Musica Vocalis” concert series by the Cairo Symphony Orchestra at the Main Hall on Saturday, 18 January 2025 at 8 p.m. 
The evening features Verdi’s notable Messa da Requiem performed by Iman Moustafa (soprano), Jolie Faizy (alto), Amr Medhat (tenor) and Reda El Wakil (bass) along with A Cappella Choir. The Messa da Requiem is considered one of the greatest choral compositions in music history and one of the most monumental works by the renowned Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi. Composed in honor of the Italian writer Alessandro Manzoni, after his death, the Requiem was first performed in 1874 at San Marco Church in Milan.
