Under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansou, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, the Cairo Opera House—headed by Dr. Reda El-Wakil and directed by Maestro Dr. Mohamed El-Mogy—concluded the activities of the 34th Arab Music Festival and Conference. This edition was dedicated to the memory of the Prince of Arab Singing, Hany Shaker, and concluded at 8:00 PM on Friday, October 30, at the Main Hall.

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the two accompanying competitions: the Dr. Retiba El-Hefny Singing Competition for Arab Youth and the Oud Playing Competition. This was followed by the screening of a documentary film titled Farid El-Atrash: King of the Oud, prepared by the Cairo Opera House Editing Studio under the artistic supervision of Samer Mady and edited by Sherif Reda.

Later, the star Medhat Saleh, accompanied by musician and pianist Amr Selim and the orchestra led by Maestro Ahmed Amer, performed a selection of his famous works alongside traditional tarab masterpieces, to the great acclaim and enthusiastic reception of the audience.
