Colombian-Egyptian Night at the Small Hall*

The Cairo Opera House in cooperation with the Foreign Cultural Relations and the Colombian Embassy in Cairo, present a concert under the title “Peace Across Difference...Let Music Unite Us” by the Colombian soprano Julieth Lozano with the distinguished participation of the Egyptian international mezzo-soprano Farrah El Dibany, and accompanied by the Belarusian pianist Anastasyia Shytsko at the Small Hall on Wednesday, 11 September 2024 at 7 p.m.
The concert’s program includes selections and excerpts from the most famous international works by prominent composers.
The Colombian soprano Julieth Lozano holds a Bachelor of Music from the Central University of Bogota in 2016, in addition to a Masters of Vocal Performance in 2817. She has won many awards, including the Audience Award for the Cardiff Singer, the Copenhagen Competition Award, the Independent Opera Postgraduate Award Saddles Wells, and the His Royal Highness King Charles Award.
Mezzo-soprano Farrah El Dibany is an opera singer who has achieved great success during her operatic career, most notably her performance on the stage of UNESCO’s 75th anniversary celebration in Paris, in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, heads of state and government, ministers, a group of prominent international figures, and many international artists.
Farrah has received many honors and awards, including third prize at the Giulio Perotti International Singing Competition in 2013, the title of Best Young Opera Talent in Obernfelt Magazine, the Kamrober Schloss Ransberg Festival Award in 2017. She was honored by President Sisi at the World Youth Forum (2021) and the French Embassy in Cairo awarded her the Chevaliers of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres
