Cultural Evening About Taha Hussein at the Cairo Opera House

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, is holding a cultural evening titled “Fifty Years of Presence: Taha Hussein” at the Small Hall on Monday, 6 November 2023 at 7 p.m. Moderated by the writer Nashwa El-Hofy, the event is going to be attended by the journalist Tarek El-Taher, former editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al-Adab newspaper, and writer and critic Ihab El-Mallah.
The Evening will discuss the life journey of Taha Hussein, dean of Arabic literature, and the numerous challenges he encountered. Examples of his writings and their extended intellectual and literary influence are also reviewed and debated.
