The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, continues its summer festival with a concert titled “Folk Songs of the Good Old Days” by Arab music stars at the Open Air Theatre on Sunday, 4 August 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
Conducted by Maestro Alaa Abdel Salam, the concert’s program features a diverse selection of the most beautiful folk songs performed by Yasser Soliman, Nada Galab, and Noha Hafiz.
These old folk songs, with their distinctive words and melodies, remain a testament to Egypt’s rich and varied musical heritage. They reveal the unique cultural and social identity of Egyptians.
The Summer Festival, organized by the Cairo Opera House, is an engaging and diverse artistic experience that runs from 18 July to 10 August 2024 in Cairo, Alexandria, and Damanhour. By featuring an array of mesmerizing concerts, the festival attendees encounter captivating moments and exhilarating entertainment.
