*Gamal Salama’s Most Memorable Works at Cairo Opera House*

Within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's endeavors to celebrate Egypt’s music icons, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, hosts a concert, conducted by Maestro Mohamed El Mogy, featuring the most memorable works of the late musician Gamal Salama at the Main Hall on Sunday, 15 September 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
Famous songs composed by Gamal Salama are performed by the Cairo Opera Arab music stars - Sabrine El Negaly, Amira Ahmed, Farah El Mogy, Hanan Essam, Noha Hafez, Yasser Soliman, Ahmed Efat, Waleed Hedar - while accompanied by pianist Hamada El Naggar.
Gamal Salama, an Egyptian composer and songwriter, was born in Alexandria in 1945. He studied piano at the Cairo Conservatoire before completing his PhD at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow. Salama composed a large number of soundtracks for some of the most popular Egyptian movies, TV series, and theater plays. He also composed many memorized songs for numerous great Arab singers. Gamal Salama passed away in 2021, leaving behind a rich music legacy.
