The Cairo Symphony Orchestra continues its “Greatest Symphonies IV” concert series at the Main Hall on Saturday, 9 November 2024, at 8 p.m.
The concert is held under the baton of Maestro Ahmed El Saedi and features some of the world’s most renowned classical works, such as Ravel’s La Valse, François-Adrien Boieldieu’s Concerto for Harp and Orchestra, and Bizet’s Symphony in C major.
Founded in 1959 by Austrian maestro Franz Litschauer, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra has enriched Egypt’s musical life by hosting world-renowned musicians and supporting Egyptian talents - musicians, composers, and conductors - in showcasing their skills. Over the years, the Orchestra has expanded its repertoire with global masterpieces and organized numerous workshops led by international experts. Additionally, the CSO has embarked on artistic tours worldwide and is dedicated to presenting diverse concert series that highlight both significant global compositions and Egyptian classical works.
