“Great Symphonies VII” at Cairo Opera House

The seventh concert of the “Great Symphonies” concert series is held at the Main Hall on Saturday, 20 January 2024 at 8 p.m. Under the baton of Maestro Nader Abbassi and with violinist Salma Sorour, the Cairo Symphony Orchestra presents a magical evening of classical music.
The concert’s program includes Elgar’s “Pomp and Circumstance”, Prokofiev’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No.1, and L. van Beethoven’s Symphony No.5.
Introducing a series of diverse concerts is one of the on-going accomplishments of the Cairo Symphony Orchestra. Not only do these concerts shed light on the most famous classical compositions worldwide, but they also foreground highly acclaimed Egyptian classics.
