Masterpieces of Arab Music at Alexandria Opera House*

The Alexandria Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is hosting a concert titled “Masterpieces of Arab Music” by the Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing, conducted by Maestro Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam. The concert marks the beginning of the new artistic Season 2024-2025 and is held at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theater” on Thursday, 5 September 2024, at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program features masterpieces from the Golden Age of Arab Music performed by renowned artists like Yasmine Ibrahim, Wael Abu El Fotouh, Nada Ghaleb, Yasser Saeed, Mohamed Raees, El Sayed Wahb Allah, Walaa Tolba, and Mohamed El Khouly.
The Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing was established in 2004 and debuted at the Arab Music Festival. The Ensemble has a vast concert activity and a wide-ranging repertoire presenting traditional forms of Arab music like: Al-Muwashshah, Al-Qasida, Al-Dor, Al-Taqtuqa, Al-Monologue, etc.
