Masterpieces of El Mogy at Alexandria Opera House

On the occasion of Spring Feast, the Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr Lamiaa Zayed, holds a concert by the National Arab Music Ensemble at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre on Saturday, 4 May 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program includes the masterpieces of the late musician, Mohamed El Mogy, presented by Ahmed Efat, Hend El Nahas and Noha Hafez under the baton of Maestro Dr. Mostafa Helmy.
Mohamed El Mogy is one of the highly acclaimed Egyptian composers. Born in Kafr El Sheikh Governorate in 1923, he is often described as “Godfather of Modern Arab Music.” Throughout his long-standing career, he composed the music for about 1000 songs and over 100 films and television series. El Mogy made his debut with “Safini Marra”, performed by the late Abdel Halim Hafez. Then, he composed for numerous Arab singing stars like Um Kulthum, Najat, Warda, Sabah, and Fayza Ahmed. He left our world in 1995, leaving a rich artistic legacy.
