"Mirrors" by Ahmed Refaat at Cairo Opera House

Under the title "Mirrors," the Cairo Opera House houses an art exhibition by artist Ahmed Refaat at Salah Taher Gallery. The exhibition opens on Saturday, 17 February 2024 and runs until Saturday, 24 February 2024 showcasing 42 artworks in which the artist employed diverse materials including: handmade paper, cotton and linen fibers, and dried aloe vera fibers. Through these works, Rafaat explores the relationship between different art forms, embodying one of the main goals of art: the ability of the artist and the audience to produce and appreciate abstract artworks.
Ahmed Refaat received his B.A. from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University in 1988. He holds a Ph.D in Art from both Helwan University (Egypt) and New York University (USA). Refaat has held numerous solo and group exhibitions and has participated in many local and international workshops.
