National Arab Music Ensemble Presents Umm Kulthum’s Songs at Alexandria Opera House

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, hosts a concert by the National Arab Music Ensemble featuring songs by Umm Kulthum at Sayed Darwish Theatre on Thursday, 14 December 2023 at 8 p.m.
Conducted by Maestro Ahmed Amer, the concert program includes a selection of songs by the prominent Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum who collaborated, during her lifetime, with some of Egypt’s most renowned poets and composers. The songs are performed by Hend El Nahas, Inas Ezz El Din and Rehab Metawea.
Founded in 1989, the National Arab Music Ensemble’s main objective is to revive the masterpieces of Arab Music heritage. Through collecting the classical musical heritage from different Arab nations and representing in an academic context, the Ensemble succeeded in establishing a unique position for itself in Arab Music scene.
