22 March 2024
As part of the “Ramadan Nights” series organized by the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, an evening for the State of Palestine is held in cooperation with the Embassy of Palestine in Cairo and the Foreign Cultural Relations Sector at the Small Hall on Monday, 25 March 2024 at 9 p.m.
During the evening, the Palestinian Maqam Ensemble performs for the first time in Egypt and presents a number of its compositions. Blending traditional music with contemporary styles while using traditional Takht instruments alongside Western instruments, the Ensemble’s main goal is to preserve the Palestinian identity and spirit in a modern style.
