Reham Abdel Hakim at the Citadel Festival

The Citadel International Festival for Music and Singing launched its 34th edition under the auspices of Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Acting Minister of Culture, and Mr. Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities. Dr. Reda El Wakil, Chairman of the Cairo Opera House, announced the official kickoff of the event.
The opening ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by a performance titled "Sing for Life," dedicated to the memory of the great composer Hany Shenouda.
Dr. Reda El Wakil and Engineer Yasser Shaalan, Head of the Artistic House for Music, Opera, and Ballet, honored ten figures who contributed to enriching the Egyptian and Arab artistic scene, alongside individuals who supported the success of previous festival editions.
The ceremony featured a dreamy musical tour by Egyptian harpists, led by Dr. Manal Mohie El-Din, presenting a selection of famous Arab and international compositions.
Star singer Reham Abdel Hakim, accompanied by the orchestra led by Maestro Dr. Mohamed El Mougy, then performed a selection of famous classical and contemporary songs, along with a number of her original tracks.
