Religious Song Ensemble at Arab Music Institute

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts a concert by the Religious Song Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Omar Farahat at the Arab Music Institute on Thursday, 6 February 2025 at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of supplications, hymns, and traditional and contemporary religious songs featured by Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Fares Abdel Aal, Hossam Saqr, Samah Abbas, Wael Serag, Taha Hussein, Omnia Samir, and Tahfiz Mostafa Al-Nagdy.
The Religious Song Ensemble was established in 1972 by the late composer Abdel Halim Nowera to preserve the religious singing tradition and train young talents in religious singing and invocations. The Ensemble regularly performs at the various Cairo Opera House venues across Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta.
