
Spanish Folk Night by Mona Burkhardt at Cairo Opera House

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamia Zayed, hosts a concert by Mona Burkhardt, accompanied by Las Encantadoras Orquesta, at the Small Hall on Thursday, 16 January 2025, at 8 p.m.
During the concert, Burkhardt will present pieces from the Spanish folklore, in addition to a selection of classic Latin songs dating back to the 50s and 60s, accompanied by the Enchanting Melodies Orchestra.
Mona Mohamed Hassan Salem is an Alexandrian artist who holds a BA in Anthropology. She was nicknamed Mona Burkhard after her German husband, Rudolf Burkhard. Burkhardt mastered singing in French, English and Spanish, in addition to Arabic, and she also mastered classical dancing. Burkhardt founded the Enchanting Melodies Orchestra in October of 2014, with a desire to spread the culture of Spanish classical music due to its closeness to oriental music.
