Spanish Guitarist Miguel Trápaga at Cairo Opera House & Alexandria Opera House

Under the title “Guitar in Spain”, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher and in cooperation with the Spanish Embassy in Cairo, will host two concerts by the guitarist Miguel Trápaga.
The first concert is going to be held at the Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre” on Sunday, 5 November 2023 at 8 p.m., and the second concert is going to be held at the Small Hall on Thursday, 9 November 2023 at 8 p.m.
The program features a wide selection of works by famous Spanish and Mexican composers like Dionisio Aguado, Manuel Ponce, Federico Moreno-Torroba, Manuel de Falla, Ángel Barrios and Joaquín Turina
Miguel Trápaga studied at the Ataúlfo Argenta Conservatoire. He was awarded scholarships from the Marcelino Botín Foundation, Jeunesses Musicales (Madrid) and the La Caixa Foundation (Barcelona).
He has won numerous awards for guitar playing, including the Arturo Saztano Competition Award in 1988, the Exceptional Career Award from the Royal Conservatoire of Music in Madrid in 1990, and many others.
