Spirit of Ramadan at Arab Music Institute

Celebrating the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, holds a concert by the Religious Song Ensemble conducted by Maestro Omar Farahat at Arab Music Institute on Sunday, 17 March 2024 at 9:30 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of the most popular traditional chants, hymns, and religious songs featured by Fares Abdel Aal, Heba Adel, Tamer Nagah, Samah Abbas, Wael Serag, Ahmed Hassan, Taha Hussein, and Walaa Romeh.
The Religious Song Ensemble was established in 1972 by the late composer Abdel Halim Nowera to preserve the religious singing tradition and train young talents in religious singing and invocations. The Ensemble regularly performs at the various Cairo Opera House venues across Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta.
