"Spirits in the City" Narrates the Legacy of Folk Art Pioneer Zakaria El-Hijjawi at the Cairo Opera House

The Cairo Opera House, hosts an exceptional cultural evening as part of the "Spirits in the City" series. Prepared and moderated by journalist Mahmoud El-Tamimi within his cultural project "Cairo is My Address," the event will take place at the Small Hall on Saturday, 4 April 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

This cultural evening is held in cooperation with the Academy of Arts and the Higher Institute of Folk Arts. It is dedicated to celebrating the life and career of the legendary Zakaria El-Hijjawi, the pioneer of Egyptian folk art and artist Fatma Sarhan.
