Spiritual Chants and Religious Songs by Religious Song Ensemble at Gomhouria Theatre

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is organizing a concert by the Religious Song Ensemble, conducted by Maestro Omar Farhat at Gomhouria Theatre on Thursday, 12 December 2024, at 8 p.m.
The concert’s program features a selection of religious chants, invocations, and songs composed by renowned artists featuring Mohamed Abdel Hamid, Tamer Nagah, Taha Hussein, Hiba Adel, Ahmed Nafeh, Hossam Sakr, Wael Sarraj, and Amany Samir.
The Religious Song Ensemble was established in 1972 by the late composer Abdel Halim Nowera to preserve the religious singing tradition and train young talents in religious singing and invocations. The Ensemble regularly performs  at the various Cairo Opera House venues across Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta.
