International and Egyptian Compositions in Three Concerts by the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra
The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, is honored to host the Russian Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, which will visit Egypt for the first time to present three concerts conducted by the legendary conductor Vladimir Fedoseyev in Cairo and Alexandria. The concerts are going to be held on 5 & 6 November at the Main Hall, and on 7 November at the Alexandria Opera “Sayed Darwish Theatre”.
The program of the concerts includes international and Egyptian classical compositions. The first concert features the promising young violinist Amira Abouzahra (the granddaughter of the Egyptian actor Abdel Rahman Abouzahra) who currently lives in Vienna. This is the first time Amira will perform in Egypt. The concert program includes “Musical Moments” by Rageh Daoud, Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto and Rimsky-Korsakov's “Scheherazade”.
The second concert features the talented and award-winning pianist Adam Gutseriev in which Beethoven’s Piano Concerto, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5, and Rageh Daoud’s “Musical Moments” are performed.
The third concert features the amazingly talented cellist Dali Gutseriev in which Haydn’s Cello Concerto, Rageh Daoud’s “Musical Moments” and Rimsky-Korsakov's “Scheherazade” are performed.
Amira Abouzahra was born in 2005 and at the age of four she decided to play the violin. She has been a student in the violin class of Prof. Dora Schwarzberg at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. She made her orchestra debut at the age of seven with the Mexico State Symphony Orchestra and has won several awards including first prize at the “Jugend musiziert” competition in Germany, the first prize at the International Ilona Fehér Violin Competition in Hungary, and many others.
The Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra (originally the Grand Symphony Orchestra of All-Union Radio and Central Television) was founded in 1930 as the first symphony orchestra of the Soviet Union.
It has repeatedly proved its right to be one of the world’s best orchestras - the right won by its history, meticulous work and busy concert schedule.

He has been artistic director and chief conductor of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra for more than four decades. The name of Vladimir Fedoseyev is associated with many orchestras across the world. He was the first guest conductor of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra, etc. Maestro Fedoseyev is an owner of numerous international prizes and awards.
