Umm Kulthum’s Songs at Arab Music Institute

In accord with the Cairo Opera House’s cultural mission to preserve the heritage of Arab music and singing, Abdel Halim Nowera Ensemble for Arab Music continues its “Kulthumiat” concert series conducted by maestro Salah Ghobashy at the Arab Music Institute on Friday, 26 January 2024 at 8 p.m.
Performed by Rehab Omar, The concert’s program includes a selection of Umm Kulthum’s iconic songs in which she collaborated with some of Egypt’s most renowned composers and poets during her artistic life.
The “Kulthumiat” concert series, organized by the Cairo Opera House, aims to preserve the Arab musical heritage and introduce the masterpieces of the legendary Egyptian singer Umm Kulthum to the younger generation.
