Variations From the Golden Age of Arab Singing

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr Lamiaa Zayed, hosts a concert by the Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music & Arab Singing titled “Variations From the Golden Age of Arab Singing” at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theatre” on Tuesday, 25 June 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
Conducted by Maestro Alaa Abdel Salam, the concert’s program features masterpieces of prominent Arab composers performed by Yasser Said, Mohamed Al Kholy, Mohamed Rae's, Heba Hassan, Kareem Zidan, Walaa Tolba, Heba Ismael, Fatma Zain, Nada Ghaleb.
The Alexandria Opera Ensemble for Music and Arab Singing was established in 2004 and debuted at the Arab Music Festival. The Ensemble has a vast concert activity and a wide-ranging repertoire presenting traditional forms of Arab music like: Al-Muwashshah, Al-Qasida, Al-Dor, Al-Taqtuqa, Al-Monologue, etc.
