Wael El Fashny at the Summer Festival in Damanhour

Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Hanno, the Minister of Culture, and Dr. Jacqueline Azar, Governor of Beheira, the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, continues its summer festival activities with a concert by Wael El Fashny accompanied by his band at Damanhour Opera House on Friday, 19 July 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program features a selection of supplications, chants and hymns in addition to a number of El Fashny’s singles.
Wael El Fashny was born in Egypt and was influenced by the greatest hymn singers, including the reciter Sheikh Taha El Fashny. He studied at Al Azhar schools and then joined the Arab Music Institute. In his early days, he played and sang with artists such as Ali El Haggar, Fathy Salama, and Raouf El Genaini. He gained widespread fame after performing TV series soundtracks.
The Summer Festival of the Cairo Opera House includes many engaging and diverse artistic activities. It takes place from 18 July to 10 August 2024 in Cairo, Alexandria and Damanhour.
