Ziad Bakir Gallery is Hosting “Like a Withered Date Stalk” Exhibition by Dr. Mona El Sayad

Opening on Wednesday, 8 May 2024 at 6 p.m. and running until Thursday, 16 May 2024, the exhibition showcases 40 paintings created with a variety of materials, including: oil colors on canvas, gold leaves, and colored pencils. Artworks are inspired by the science of astronomy; and the study of planets, the Sun, and the Moon depicting the different phases of the Moon. Changes in its appearance as it orbits around the Earth suggest movement, evolution, and continuity.
Mona El Sayad received her B.A. in Art Education from Helwan University, and later she obtained her PhD in Design Philosophy. El Sayad is a member of the Fine Artists Syndicate, participating in many group art exhibitions locally and internationally, including: the Sharm El Sheikh International Biennale. “Like a Withered Date Stalk” is her fifth exhibition during the current year.
