Cinema Club at Alexandria Opera House Pays Tribute to Mohamed Shaker

As part of the collaboration between Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, and the National Film Center headed by Dr. Hussein Bakr, the Cinema Club screens a documentary film titled “Origin of the Story”. The film explores the journey of the great artist Mohamed Shaker, followed by a panel discussion with director Sahar Abdel Moneim, Dr. Yousry El Gamal, Dr. Eman El Gamal, and cinematographer Mohsen Ahmed. Moderated by film critic Ahmed Asr, the event is held at Alexandria Opera House “Sayed Darwish Theater” on Wednesday, 13 December 2023 at 7 p.m.
Mohamed Shaker, former Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Alexandria, has been honored with numerous local and international awards, including the Shanghai Exhibition Award in China, 2002. His art collections are showcased in Egypt and in various countries worldwide, such as France, the United States, England, Canada, Bahrain, Morocco, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
