Dialogue between Eastern and Western Instruments at the Summer Festival for Music & Singing

A unique artistic experience was presented during the Summer Music and Singing Festival organized by the Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, Chairman of the Cairo Opera House.

At the Open Air Theatre, the renowned composer, Hisham Kharma, welcomed his audience expressing his pleasure in reuniting with them after a period of absence. After introducing the new members that recently joined his band, Kharma engaged in dialogue between Eastern and Western instruments creating mesmerizing masterpieces that embody the spirit of the modern age. Through the fusion of oriental colors with electronic grooves, he presented a collection of his own compositions including Andalus, First Voyage, Kun, Hope, Kholkhal, Valley of the Kings, Al Hekaya, Faith, Marrakech, Badr, Al Ghoroub, Al Yaqeen, Al Bedaya, Al Nehaya along with several famous compositions like Helwa Balady El Samra by Baligh Hamdy, Shams El Zanaty by Hany Shenouda and others.
