The event marks the 10th anniversary of founding the Korean Cultural Center in Egypt.
The evening’s program includes a performance titled "Ulsuu, Earth” featuring a variety of international dances performed by Goblin Party and Gambler Crew. The event also feature an exhibition of traditional Korean masks, which were registered as part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2022, demonstrating Korea's rich artistic history.
During the cultural week, Korean specialists will organize workshops on designing masks associated with the traditional Talchum dance: a unique technique that combines history, traditions, and folklore through a blend of dance, singing, and theatrical recitation.
The closing ceremony of the Korean Cultural Week is held at the Open Air Theatre on Friday, 24 May 2024.
The Goblin Party was founded in 2007 by a group of Korean choreographers and performers. On the other hand, the Gambler Crew, established in 2002, has achieved numerous accolades at the Battle of the Year Festival, one of the top four B-boy competitions in the world, held in Germany.
