As part of the diverse Egyptian cultural activities, the Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, hosts a concert by Ghada Shaker under the title “Piano Fingers” at the Small Hall on Friday, 3 May 2014 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a selection of classical masterpieces written by renowned composers for piano, including: Haydn, Beethoven, Bach, Schumann, Schubert, Chopin, Heller, and Franz Liszt.
Dr. Ghada Shaker graduated from the Cairo Conservatoire in 1991. She studied piano through a scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service at the Freiburg University of Music in Germany, and obtained her PhD in 1996. Shaker has participated as a soloist with chamber music ensembles in many concerts in Cairo and Alexandria, as well as in Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
