05 February 2026

The Cairo Opera House, under the presidency of Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, presents the latest production of the Cairo Opera Ballet Company, “Princess of the Nile,” directed by Artistic Director Ermenia Kamel.

The ballet will be performed in five evening performances at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday — 5, 6, 8, and 9 February — in addition to a matinee performance at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, 8 February 2026, at the Main Hall.

Originally premiered in 1862 at the Bolshoi Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia, by the Imperial Russian Ballet under the title “The Pharaoh’s Daughter,” the production remains one of the most renowned classical ballets in history and is considered among the grandest and most spectacular works of the classical repertoire.
