Spirits in the City Discusses Umm Kulthum’s Artistic Journey at Cairo Opera House

Under the title “Umm Kulthum’s Annual Night of Honoring,” the Cairo Opera House, under the supervision Dr. Lamia Zayed, is hosting a new session of the “Spirits in the City” series presented by journalist Mahmoud El Tamimi, at the Small Hall on Wednesday, 1 January 2025 at 6 p.m.
The evening includes discussions exploring the rich legacy of the iconic Egyptian diva Umm Kulthum with the participation of an elite group of specialists, writers and intellectuals, including: Dr. Mohamed El Baz, Sayed Mahmoud, Haitham Abu Zaid, and Mohamed Diab.
"Spirits in the City" series is a project that aims to preserve the national memory of Egyptians. It was launched by the "Cairo is My Address" cultural project two years ago in collaboration with various cultural entities.
