The Fascinating World of Omar Khairat on the Last Evening of the Festival
An Outstanding Performance by the Talents Development Center at Mahka Theatre
The Citadel Festival for Music and Singing, organized by the Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, Chairman of the Board, concluded its 31st session after a series of momentous events held at Mahka Theatre that lasted for 14 days. During this period, the audience enjoyed a wide range of artistic performances that satisfied the diverse taste of all age groups and interests.
The legendary composer and pianist, Omar Khairat, attracted a huge crowd of music lovers to the last evening of the Festival. As usual, with his exceptional talent and genius skills, Khairat captivated the hearts of the Citadel audience with a selection of his unique compositions, accompanied by the Cairo Opera Orchestra and conducted by Maestro Nayer Nagui.
On the other hand, the students of the Talent Development Center, under the supervision of Dr. Samah Saber, gave an outstanding performance at Mahka Theatre. The children and youth choir, led and trained by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Sattar, performed several famous Arabic songs.
