El-Hadra Ensemble Celebrates its Eighth Anniversary at the Open Air Theatre with Mahmoud El-Tohamy as Guest of Honor*

At the Closing Ceremony of the Summer Festival of Music and Singing organized by the Cairo Opera House under the supervision of Dr. Khaled Dagher, El-Hadra Ensemble for Sufi Singing celebrates its eighth anniversary. The performance will take place at the Open Air Theatre on Friday, 11 August 2023 at 8:30 p.m. with the participation of the famous religious chanter, Mahmoud El-Tohamy.

The program includes a collection of renowned religious chants, supplications and lyrics.

El-Hadra Ensemble for Sufi Singing was founded in 2015 with the aim of preserving and reviving the rich Sufi heritage of Egypt. Consisting of several Sufi devotees from various orders, the Ensemble performs a vast repertoire of powerful Sufi lyrics by Sufi masters such as Ibn Arabi and others. El-Hadra presented numerous performances at various cultural venues in Egypt and acclaimed great success.
