Vibes of Spirituality at the Arab Music Institute

The Cairo Opera House, under the supervision of Dr. Lamiaa Zayed, is hosting a concert by the Religious Songs Ensemble, under the baton of Maestro Omar Farhat, at the Arab Music Institute on Friday, 3 May 2024 at 8:30 p.m.
The concert’s program features a selection of the most famous chants, hymns, and religious songs by great composers, performed by Bilal Mokhtar, Ahmed Hassan, Ashraf Zidan, Samah Abbas, Mohamed Nashaat, Mohamed EL-Jezary, and Taha Hussein.
The Religious Song Ensemble was established in 1972 by the late composer Abdel Halim Nowera to preserve the religious singing tradition and train young talents in religious singing and invocations. The Ensemble regularly performs at the various Cairo Opera House venues across Cairo, Alexandria, and Damietta.
