Arab, Spiritual, and Musical Nights at the Cairo Opera House During Ramadan

Under the auspices of Dr. Jihan Zaki, Minister of Culture, the Cairo Opera House has announced its artistic and cultural program for the Holy Month of Ramadan. The festivities will begin on Thursday, 26 February and continue until Monday, 9 March 2026.

Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, Chairman of the Cairo Opera House, stated that the events will take place across various stages, including the Open Air Theatre, the Small Hall, the Arab Music Institute, and Gomhouria Theatre. He added that this year’s program is carefully curated to harmonise with the spiritual atmosphere of the Holy Month.

Dr. Abdel Salam further explained that the program combines authentic Tarab, contemporary musical creativity, and Arab and Islamic evenings that reflect cultural identity and highlight Islamic heritage. The performances will range from religious chanting ensembles and Arab music to international troupes presenting their folklore, offering the audience an integrated artistic experience that blends art and spirituality.
