Cairo Opera Orchestra Celebrates 30 Years of Artistic Exchange Between Egypt & Japan

As part of the Ministry of Culture’s strategy to promote creative exchange with countries around the world, the Cairo Opera House, under supervision of Dr. Alaa Abdel Salam, is hosting a concert in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy titled “Soloists from Egypt and Japan”, marking the 30th anniversary of founding of the Japan Foundation in Cairo.
The concert is given by the Cairo Opera Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Mohamed Saad Basha, and features a selection of outstanding musicians, including Japanese violinist Mina Aoki Girardelli and Egyptian soloists: Malek Abou Arab (violin); Noha Samy (oboe); and Toqa Salah (harp). The takes place at the Main Hall on Thursday, 20 March 2025 at 9:30 p.m.
The concert’s program includes a collection of classical masterpieces by renowned composers such as Beethoven, Sarasate, Saint-Saëns, Bartók, Debussy, and Bellini.
