Signing Ceremony of JICA Grant Agreement of the Project for the Improvement of Equipment at the Cairo Opera House

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, Dr. Rania El Mashat, Minister of Planning and Economic Development and International Cooperation, and Mr. Iwai Fumiyo, Ambassador of Japan in Egypt, witnessed the signing ceremony of the JICA grant agreement of the project to improve the equipment of the National Cultural Center "Cairo Opera House", in the presence of Dr. Lamia Zayed, Chairman of the Cairo Opera House, and Mr. Kato Ken, Chief Representative of the JICA Office in Egypt. The total amount of the grant is 180 million Yen (equivalent to 1.17 million US dollars), with the aim of improving the infrastructure of the Cairo Opera House and raising the efficiency of its theaters by developing equipment, devices and services.
